TOM MARGESON, Sr.
R. I. P.
Tom Sr. passed away on January 19 at a Tacoma Hospital following a brief illness. He lived in the Tacoma since childhood. He worked in the wholesale food service industry most of his adult life.
He will be remembered by the WMRA as a fine gentleman, quiet, friendly, and a warm smile for everyone. In time spent with him, you'd never hear a bad word about anyone, he had no enemies, just a host of friends. He was proud of Son Tom, Jr., a crew chief of far more than average ability, and Grandson Evan, a standout as an open wheel driver. One of his biggest enjoyments in life was to be able to accompany them, and be at the track as their best supporter.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Anyone planning to attend the banquet but paying at the door need to contact Rod Churchill (hot_rodney79@hotmail.com) Glen Seidelman (glenrace@hotmail.com) or Dolan Lannon (dolan@olypen.com) before Feb 10th so we can let the casino know how many people we have comnig.

 

The WMRA wishes to thank all the Gold Card Members who continually join and sent a contribution for the WMRA in with their yearly application. A Gold Card Membership is free. The WMRA appreciates these contributions. So to those Gold Card Members a BIG THANK YOU. Also, the banquet tickets are not going to be mailed this year, they will be available for pick up at the banquet.

 

Just a reminder

The upcoming banquet is for both the dirt and pavement series and trophies will be awarded for the top 10 of both series

 

The WMRA Banquet is scheduled to be held Saturday February 18 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. at the Lucky Eagle Casino, near South Sound Speedway.
Tickets are $35.00 per person and the dinner is slated to be a seafood/Prime rib buffet. A bar is to be included in our private room.
WMRA is actively seeking trophy sponsors at $50.00 each, that price includes dinner. Checks are to be made out to WMRA, please note (on memo line) what payment is for (ie dinner, trophy, etc) Please mail at your earliest convenience to:
