WMRA Announces 2002 Schedule
Washington Midget Racing Association
Seattle, Washington, February 26, 2002, by Ken Ferris

The Washington Midget Racing Association has lined up twelve races at four tracks for the 2002 season.  Half the races are at the tight quarter mile Spanaway Speedway near Tacoma, Washington including their season opener on April 27.   “Most of our racers live in the Puget Sound area and many wanted to travel a little less” said Rick Kraft, WMRA business manager, “I think with six races at Spanaway and three at South Sound we were able to accomplish that.”

The newly repaved South Sound Speedway near Tenino, Washington will host the powerful midgets three times this year, after an absence of five years.  “South Sound has always been a great midget track, and with the new pavement it should be faster yet.”  Stated long time front runner, Brad Curtis.

Two races at Stateline Speedway in Stateline Idaho and the season championship race at Wenatchee Valley Raceway will finish out the schedule for 2002.  For more information visit www.WMRAracing.com or contact Rick Kraft at 503 632-4655 or Ken Ferris at 253 964-2828.
